Flower Power goes online in the UAE

California Flowers of Abu Dhabi has launched a new website for ordering flowers online, using Comtrust's Quickshop e-tailer package.

Abu Dhabi-based florists California Flowers has launched a new website for the new year, to sell flowers online. The site, www.uae-flowers.com, has been developed with Quickshop, Comtrust’s e-business facilitation unit.

The site will allow customers to order fresh flowers for delivery in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Al Ain. The company has been established in the UAE for two years, but decided to launch the site to cater for demand over the holiday period.

The company joins a growing number who have turned to Comtrust to facilitate an e-business deployment. The Quickshop package offers storefront software, web space, online credit card payments, and digital server certification to allow merchants to launch online operations in as short a time as possible. The package is scalable, and allows complete integration of the storefront and payment service.

“The decision of California Flowers to choose the Quickshop package is a further illustration of the flexibility of this package,” commented Saoud Al Shamsi, sales manager for Comtrust. “With the minimum of fuss and disruption we were able to get them online for what is one of their busiest times of the year.”
