NeST Group makes moves into Middle East

Partnership deal with UAE-based BA Thumbay will bring NeST's brand of networking systems integration to the region.

IT solution provider the NeST Group has formed a strategic alliance with UAE-based BA Thumbay Group to market products and services to the Emirates. The partnership will focus on communications technology, e-commerce and e-government and wireless applications.

“We believe that the UAE has the potential to become one of the most advanced IT-enabled countries because of its geographical convenience and the bubbling international trade,” commented Javad Hassan, Chairman of the NeST Group. “There is a culture of business here, which is very encouraging, and there is also an attitude of energy, dedication and enthusiasm.”

NeST group, with headquarters in the US and offices worldwide, is a specialist in networking and communications, and supporting software and hardware solutions. Chairman Javad Hassan headed up IBM’s technology division and was also president of AMP’s global communications business before establishing the company in Kerala, India.

Ajman-based Thumbay Group, which runs the Gulf Medical College at Ajman will provide the platform for NeST products and services in the UAE. “NeST and Thumbay will have an aggressive business strategy to provide professional IT products and services to this booming market,” said Thumbay Moideen, managing director.
