Mobilcoms GSM on track

Jordan’s Mobilcom will use the LHS Group’s BSCS 5.21 to run its customer care and billing operation.

Jordan’s Mobilcom will use the LHS Group’s BSCS 5.21 to run its customer care and billing operation.

Mobilcom, a subsidiary of the Jordanian Telecom Company (JTC), is the country’s newest mobile operator. France Telecom recently bought a 40% share in JTC, and LHS’ BSCS solution is already used by several of the French company’s subsidiaries.

“A key factor in the decision making process for Mobilcom was to find a reliable customer billing and management solution with the flexibility to handle the growing number of subscribers,” said Constantin Voyatzis, regional sales manager for LHS Middle East.

“With the highly scalable billing functions of BSCS 5.21, Mobilcom can turn this vision into a reality.”

Flexible System

The system will assume all of the billing and service functions on the mobile network, and its flexibility makes it well suited to use in the Middle East.

All the functional information about the network and its customers will be entered in English, while proper names can be recorded in Arabic.

“We are pleased to see our products enable operators to better and faster develop applications and services specific to their customer needs and the demands of a particular country market,” said LHS president Gary Cuccio.
