Symantec signs Executrain to arm security channel

Symantec Middle East tied up with ExecuTrain this month to provide training in the increasingly vital network security and management space.

Symantec Middle East tied up with ExecuTrain this month to provide training in the increasingly vital network security and management space for which it develops software.

ExecuTrain is the first in the Middle East to be signed up as part of Symantec’s Partner Programme, which aims to assist resellers to deliver integrated, comprehensive solutions to their customers.

As a training partner, ExecuTrain will be responsible for training Symantec’s business and corporate partners for certification. “Over the last decade, the expansion of networked environments, combined with the rise of the Internet has resulted in an explosion of information,” says Jako Voges, marketing manager for Symantec Middle East and Africa.

Comprehensive Solutions

“Managing this information and the quest for increasingly faster methods in delivering it has become paramount. Customers require integrated, committed resellers who can add value and deliver comprehensive solutions, which we believe can only be achieved by properly trained partners.

“The Symantec Partner Programme has been designed with this in mind,” he explains.

“Another important part of our partner programme is the transfer of skills. Our partners are the executors of our strategy and we rely on companies like ExecuTrain to help us educate our resellers,” Voges said.
