Abu Dhabi TV, part of the Emirates Media group (EMI), will update its television lighting facilities with a significant deal for Strand and Arri lighting.

Negotiated through local distributor FSL, the agreement will see Abu Dhabi TV receive a variety of lighting equipment including Strand Videolux (fluorescent) and tungsten studio luminaires with pantographs, and a mixture of tungsten and HMI lighting from Arri.

All installation work will be done by Oasis Enterprises.

The updated facilities form part of a major revamp of the studios at Emirates Media that will see a news studio built as well as an overhaul of the production and engineering set up.

Meanwhile, FSL will also complete a new theatre project in Kuwait for the society for the handicapped. The contract details plans for the supply and installation of a complete package of stage equipment, lighting, film projection and A/V systems.

The theatre forms part of a new complex currently under construction at Ahmadi in the State of Kuwait. The multi purpose auditorium will be equipped for theatre, cinema and audio visual presentations. FSL will be partnered on this contract by Electrical & Electronic Maintenance Company.
