An easy way to go online

Al Rostamani Information Services (ARIS) and WebNet Inc. are making it easier for smaller businesses to have a presence on the Web.

Al Rostamani Information Services (ARIS) and WebNet Inc. are making it easier for smaller businesses to have a presence on the Web. For just UAE Dirhams 100 per year, the companies are offering local businesses a listing on uaebusinesspages.com, a portal that they aim to turn into a general online resource for residents of the UAE.

For a little more money, Dhs 250, ARIS will create a basic Web page in addition to giving you a listing. You can then pay additional charges based on what type of look you want for your Web site and the sophistication of the features that you want to incorporate in it.

“We have experienced Internet and graphic design engineers on our staff that can build customised Web pages for companies,” said Dilip Das, general manager for Al Rostamani Information Services.

The uaebusinesspages.com portal currently includes dining and sightseeing information and aims to add other resources. An employment section will include positions vacant and a place where prospective employees can place their CVs. Real estate agents and car dealers are being invited to post properties for rent.

The two companies said they plan to extend their services across the UAE and into the sub-continent. ARIS is a UAE-based IT solutions provider and WebNet is an Indian e-business specialist and owner of several portals.
