VoIP firm opens UAE showroom

GERMAN voice over internet protocol (VoIP) and next generation networks telecoms solutions provider Teles has opened a flagship showroom in Dubai.

The showroom, which is a joint initiative with GMS Voipmonster, is located in Dubai Internet City and has been open since mid-November.

The Berlin-based telecoms solution provider said the opening of a showroom in Dubai was key to raising its profile and business activities in the region.

“We are very pleased to be taking this exciting step into a very dynamic market — not only is Dubai the fastest-growing city in the world with a world-class business environment, it is also the Middle East’s incoming ICT hub and the place to be for the next generation infrastructure growth expected across the region in the next five years,” said Teles product marketing manager Thomas Haydn.

The firm said it will use the Dubai base to display and provide demonstrations of its SME customer premises equipment, VoIP switches and media gateways, routers and network management solutions as well as carrier-grade VoIP solutions.

Teles recently completed a project in the region with telecom operator Batelco Jordan.
