SAP poised to bring all software developers and VARs together as part of unified global channel programme

Business software provider SAP has announced plans to unify its various partner activities into a single programme, SAP PartnerEdge, following its recent EMEA Enterprise Services Partner Summit in the Netherlands.

The new programme will also include enhancements to SAP Partner Service Benefits Package, including additional training, marketing and other resources.

SAP PartnerEdge currently serves independent software vendors, who focus on developing SAP business solutions, and value-added reseller partners who sell and implement them.

Over the next 18 months, the Germany-based ERP software giant intends to evolve PartnerEdge to offer a single structure that serves ISVs, system integrators and technology partners.

Since the programme launched in mid-2005, SAP PartnerEdge has introduced a series of key enablement components, including e-learning curricula in nine languages, an online partner collaboration network and ongoing global sales training and education programmes for partners.

Full deployment has now occurred in SAP’s EMEA and Asia- Pacific regions, with full-roll-outs set to take place in North and South America next year.
