AL Falah braced for return

Former Tech Data Middle East manager eyes comeback

Adnan Al Falah, the former regional boss of Tech Data Middle East, has declared his intention to take on a senior management role in the Middle East channel.

Al Falah had planned to move to the UK following his exit from Tech Data, but after a change of heart he is now looking to make a return to the region.

“I have been in this region for five-and-a-half years and have made some strong friendships in the Middle East,” he said.

“I have decided that it is probably in my interests to remain in the region.

I have been in the distribution game for a long time and this is a region where there are many options and excellent opportunities.”

It now looks more likely that Al Falah will return to the distribution scene, rather than seek a career with a vendor.

Back in August when Al Falah left Tech Data, he told Channel Middle East: “It has been the most enjoyable period I have had in the distribution game for some time.

Distribution is in my blood and I am not aspiring to join a vendor.

I still have enormous amounts of energy.”

Although Al Falah had not accepted a new role before Channel Middle East went to press, he claimed that a number of offers had been put his way.

“I expect that I will be staying in distribution but taking on a new role is not a decision that can be entered into lightly,” he said.
