Fusion to release Efonica in Jordan
VOIP (VOICE OVER internet protocol) service provider Fusion Telecommunications International has announced that it is planning to launch products and services under its Efonica brand in Jordan.
The company has secured the exclusive licence to offer Efonica VoIP services in the country and to this end has set up a company Fusion Jordan.
“We are very pleased to begin operations in Jordan in the near future,” Roger Karam, president of Fusion’s VoIP division and CEO of Efonica said.
“We believe our Efonica suite of advanced VoIP products and services will deliver exceptional value and performance to the people of Jordan and Jordanian communities around the world,” he added.
The company said it aims to increase its sales of Efonica products and services by building on its existing distribution relationships in the country. It will also develop new partnerships in the region. “We will continue to form strategic alliances with Jordan retailers and align with key internet properties,” Karam claimed.
Efonica offers users the ability to call each other using their existing landline or mobile telephone numbers. Calls can be made to and from any combination of PCs, internet phones and regular telephones (with a SIP adapter), connected to either a wireless, broadband or dial-up internet connection.
Its Efonica services include Efonica Free, which offers unlimited call time and allows users to hold calls and perform three-way calling; Efonica Plus, which includes all of the features of Efonica Free as well as offering extras such as fax, voicemail and an ‘efo out’ service; and Efonica Pro, which allows firms to customise their communication services.
To boost the popularity of its Efonica services, Fusion revealed it also plans to offer customised premium Efonica VoIP service plans for Jordanian residents and communities around the world.
With a population of over five million, Jordan is a key market among internet communities in the Middle East, according to Fusion. The market has witnessed growth of almost 400% of internet users over the past five years, the company claims.
Fusion provides its Efonica branded VoIP, internet access, and other internet services to, from, in and between markets worldwide including emerging markets in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.
