Etisalat has implemented a new solution from Oracle to help it manage and store its human resources data.
The telecoms firm has deployed Oracle's Human Resources Management System (HRMS) to help it manage data concerning its 10,000 employees across the region.
The system replaces an earlier Ingres platform, which the company had built in-house, and which it had used for at least 15 years.
Etisalat rated the Oracle solution for its efficiency and resource utilisation, according to Abdelhakeem Almushtaghil, human resources management systems manager at Etisalat.
The system also complemented the financials, supply chain, logistics and contracts modules of the Oracle E-Business Suite software which Etisalat already operates and thus allowed for integration between the modules, he added.
Benefits of the solution are that it helps control labour and administrative costs; manages workforce risks; has self-service processes for employees; and has provision of options for customisation through local language or in-house specialist projects, the company said.
