Gates to speak at Saudi forum

THE WORLD’S richest man is to deliver the keynote address at an economic forum being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on November 8.

Microsoft chairman Bill Gates is set to speak on the role of ICT in driving forward the Kingdom’s economy at the Global Competitive Forum.

Khaled Al-Dhaher, general manager of Microsoft Saudi Arabia, said the keynote would reflect the joint vision of Microsoft and the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) to make the Kingdom one of the top 10 global destinations for investment.

During his one-day visit Gates is scheduled to meet representatives of both the government and private sector to discuss IT and the economy.
