IBM IT services deal

Brazilian insurance company Tokio Marine Brasil Seguradora has signed a US$4milion IT infrastructure outsourcing contract with IBM in a ten year deal.

Under the terms of the contract IBM will integrate Tokio Marine’s services, unify its data centres, and upgrade its hardware environment.

IBM’s outsourcing will also service the company’s future needs in coordination with its growth plan.

This part of the contract includes the management, monitoring and operation of the data centres, helpdesk services, end-user support and data communication systems.

Robert Payne vice president of services for IBM Brazil, said: “This contract is one of the largest executed by IBM in Brazil this year and reinforces IBM’s services leadership in the country.”
