Netgear appoints Holt as new CIO
Netgear has appointed Tom Holt as chief information officer.
A 30-year veteran of the technology industry, Holt will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of Netgear’s IT strategy as well as the firm’s physical infrastructure and network access.
Holt, who has a wealth of experience in the technology industry, joins Netgear from Lucent Technologies where most recently he was vice president of IT strategy and planning.
With his expertise in developing and overseeing long-term IT environment and migration strategies, Holt was the “ideal person” to help Netgear develop its IT operations, said Patrick Lo, Netgear chairman and CEO.Voyence partners with Equinox
US firm Voyence has partnered with Equinox International, a leading systems integrations company in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
Equinox said the agreement will enable it to improve its systems integration services and advanced network management offerings.
“We have noticed a significant trend regarding customers asking us for a solution to automate the time-consuming task of aligning the IT infrastructure with government mandates while helping to quickly resolve network faults that traditional root-cause management platforms do not have the ability to address.

Networking giant Cisco has entered the digital media market with a new technology that will enable firms to use video and audio to connect anyone involved in the organisation, from customers to employees to partners, anywhere and at any time.
The Digital Media System was developed by Cisco’s emerging markets technology group, an internal team that focuses on innovation in markets beyond Cisco’s traditional networking audience.
The system is intended to improve communication and collaboration capabilities within business operations, the company said.
