Boushahri Group upgrades SAP deployment

By Mark Sutton on Friday, December 26, 2008

Kuwait’s Boushahri Group has announced that plans to upgrade its SAP ERP system to improve efficiency and business process across all of its operations.

The conglomerate implemented SAP’s tier two ERP solution in 2004, but now needs a more powerful solution to help manage its diverse interests.

Boushahri will extend the SAP deployment across its ten business divisions, which include operations in consumer electronics, food, real estate, chemicals, telecommunications and pharmaceuticals.

Mohamed Boushahri, managing director of Boushahri Group commented: “SAP software is the only software that can work for us in the present and the future because of its scalability, reliability, rich functionality, IT platform and seamless integration of data across all business units.

“After a long evaluation process we found that only SAP – which is categorized as the best tier one ERP solution in the world – can efficiently automate our core business processes for financials, order and inventory management, services, wholesale and distribution, in addition to deep industry-specific functionalities for manufacturing, construction and oil and gas, among others,” he added.

“SAP’s wide-reaching expertise will benefit all of Boushahri’s diverse business units and give the group the ability to grow even further,” said Sergio Maccotta, managing director, SAP Middle East & North America. “With our in-depth experience working on complex integration projects, SAP has what it takes to support Boushahri in this important phase of its growth.”
