APC releases new Back-UPS models with LCD displays

APC by Schneider Electric has just released new power protection Back-UPS models with LCD panels that display status indicators, voltage, faults and other key information.

Focusing on protecting home and business users from data loss caused by power problems, the Back-UPS RS 1200 and 1500 LCD also feature alert alarms, surge protection, battery backup and automatic voltage regulation (AVR).

Users can work through power outages with runtimes of up to 131 minutes by using battery backup, depending on the units’ load.

In addition, APC’s PowerChute Personal Edition software automatically powers down computer systems during extended power outages.

“We continue to make great strides in the advancement of APC’s Back-UPS family to meet the evolving needs of consumers,” said Christian Bertrand, regional director of Business Development & Support at APC Middle East & Turkey. “In addition to the standard features the new Back-UPS RS models offer, the advanced LCD display will help consumers easily access the critical information they need regarding the status of their unit and power.”

The Back-UPS RS 1200 and 1500 LCD models were introduced in the EMEA region last month.
