Creative debuts video camera for the masses

Creative has just launched its new lightweight and affordable Vado pocket video camera in the United Arab Emirates.

Weighing just 84 grams, the Creative Vado is a lot more compact than other video cameras and still delivers quality with a 640 x 480 VGA video resolution.

The company has big plans for the Vado range, revealing in a press conference that a HD model with other user enhancements is on the cards.

“We're making shooting and sharing video as easy as taking pictures with a point-and-shoot portable digital camera,” commented Leonard Yap, marketing manager for Creative Labs Middle East.

The camera’s built-in USB connector lets users transfer files directly to their computer, with special software so that videos can be directly uploaded to content sharing websites Youtube.com and Photobucket.comThe Vado has the capacity to record up to two hours of high-quality video on its internal 2 GB memory, with a removable rechargeable battery for added convenience.

The Creative Vado is now available in silver and hot pink, and is priced at AED 399 in markets. A special promotion price of AED 351 is available through the new Creative e-store.
