BREAKING NEWS :

Etisalat pre-paid customers hit by recharge problems

By Mark Sutton on Wednesday, October 01, 2008

Hundreds of Etisalat pre-paid mobile customers were unable to call family and friends over Eid, after the company’s pre-paid card system developed serious faults.

According to a report in Gulf News, large numbers of customers who bought charge cards were unable to use them. Customers who called the activation line received a pre-recorded message telling them that the card had already been used.

Many Etisalat customers also reported disruption to SMS services on Monday evening, with delivery of text messages delayed until Tuesday morning.

An Etisalat spokesperson claimed that the company had not received any complaints, but said that customers were welcome to fill in a complaint form at any Etisalat Business Centres.
