Optical components manufacturer Optoplast will unveil a new technology to handle pre-terminated cables at GITEX Technology Week.

The Italian company has been operating in the field of fibre optics since 1998.

Other key Optoplast product lines include SM and MM assemblies, pre-terminated cables, connectors, adapters, attenuators, optical distribution products, termination equipment and accessories.

Optoplast head of export sales Lucia Bussi described GITEX as "an excellent opportunity" to expand the company's business in the Middle East.

"We are aiming to expand our business in the region by personally presenting our company and a range of our products," Bussi explains. "We believe the Middle East market has a lot of potential in the fibre optic business that needs to be carefully explored and exploited."
