Linksys' new Wireless-G Broadband Router WRT54G2

Linksys has released its latest broadband router for home users, the Wireless-G Broadband Router WRT54G2.

The router, which will be available from the end of this month, features a sleek design with an internal antennae, to reduce the size of the device and improve appearance.

The WRT54G2 will ship with Linksys EasyLink Advisor (LELA) software, which will provide automatic configuration and security for home networks, and will also automatically download security updates from Linksys so protection remains up-to-date.

In order to make wireless networking simpler, the router also includes Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), a one-button feature to instantly create an encrypted wireless network between WPS-enabled devices.

Mohammad Hoda, regional manager, Linksys Middle East and Africa said: "The successful Linksys by Cisco WRT54G is an iconic product in home networking. We have worked with that high benchmark and improved its performance further, made t easier to use and updated it with our latest industrial design."
