McAfee provides Total Security

McAfee has launched a new security suite that, the company claims, is aimed at ending the ‘appliance and product fatigue' associated with deploying, maintaining and managing multiple enterprise products.

The McAfee Total Protection for Network suite - which incorporates the firm's M-8000 network security platform and its content security blade server - is intended to help organisations consolidate their network security needs in one comprehensive suite enabling them to conduct business more quickly and efficiently.

"Our customers tell us they are frustrated with managing so many point products, while the cost of doing so continues to mount," said Patrick Hayati, the regional director of McAfee Middle East. "With McAfee Total Protection for Network, we are introducing a single solution that protects the data, and everything else that transits over a company's network-ending appliance fatigue. By reducing the number of appliances in their environments, organisations save money and contribute to more environmentally friendly computing practices."

A leading security technology company, McAfee contends that the suite will deliver increased efficiency and cost savings by replacing multiple appliances including intrusion prevention systems, intrusion detection systems, network behavioural detection solutions, instant messaging protection and control as well as a raft of others.

The Total Protection for Network, which McAfee claims will provide simple end-to-end network protection for organisations, blocks attacks, stops spam and web threats, cleans e-mail, protects unpatched systems and offers a powerful solution to help meet regulatory compliance, including Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards.
