BREAKING NEWS :

Alpha Data forges UAE tie-up with iTRACS

By Julian Pletts on Sunday, May 04, 2008

Enterprise software provider iTRACS has appointed systems integrator Alpha Data as a sales and support partner for the UAE.

Alpha Data will serve as iTRACS premium service provider for the country after being trained on its entire product line late last year.

Saket Subramaniam, regional sales director for the Middle East at iTRACS, says the 600-strong systems integrator's responsibilities will extend beyond peddling its stock, however.

"More than just selling, Alpha Data will be a complete quality service provider of iTRACS' in this market," he said. "The reason for appointing them is that they have the right skill sets for software as well as the required network hardware, plus they have a very good background of doing a lot of medium to large enterprise installations in this region.

They have the right mindset to invest in this technology."

iTRACS stresses that Alpha Data will not act as its sole agent for the UAE, but the company does consider it one of its preferred partners in the emirates.

"Alpha Data is already bringing a lot of things to the table," said Subramaniam. "It is very strong with the government sector and it's also good with large oil and gas companies that are based in Abu Dhabi and Dubai."

In addition to work that it already does through partners in Oman, Kuwait and now the UAE, iTRACS harbours plans to look for a strategic alliance in Saudi Arabia.
