Jacky's Electronics, one of the leading technology retailers in the UAE, is training 200 sales staff in preparation for Gitex Technology Week. Jacky's has increased its presence at Gitex Shopper by 30% from last year, and is also exhibiting in the Gitex Business Solutions area of the main show.

The retailer, which represents over 50 leading consumer electronics and IT brands, is putting sales personnel through an intensive 45-day training course ahead of the event.

"Gitex Technology Week attracts a record number of regional and international visitors, who come to experience firsthand new technological developments as well as buy the latest products from leading IT and electronic brands exhibiting at the event," said Ashish Panjabi, Chief Operating Officer, Jacky's Electronics.

"With each brand looking to highlight their latest offerings, we are training our sales staff to be proficient at demonstrating new features and to help customers make informed buying decisions about products most suited to their requirements," he added.

Jacky's increased sales at Gitex Shopper 2006 by 45% over the previous year, and the company is looking to build on that success again. "Knowledgeable sales staff and competitive prices combined with our innovative promotions strategy contributed to an extremely successful event and we plan to build on that success, this year as well," said Panjabi.
