BREAKING NEWS :

New Arabic design solution from WinSoft

By Mark Sutton on Wednesday, August 15, 2007

WinSoft, the multilingual software provider, is giving Arabic designers new capabilities with Arabic text, with the launch of the latest version of its Tasmeem Arabic typesetting and design tool.

Tasmeem, which will be launched at Gitex, is an add-on to WinSoft's Middle Eastern Edition of Adobe InDesign. The software provides extra functions for designers working with Arabic text, to add typographic variety and accuracy without compromising existing functionality or fonts, including unicode compliance, to enable search.

The software has been designed to give typesetters and calligraphers more control over the presentation of Arabic text, to bring the traditional artistic potential of Arabic calligraphy to digital design.

"We are confident Tasmeem will appeal to all Arabic users and with Tasmeem Creative Edition, the new family member, designers will enjoy producing material including advertisements, cover pages and greeting cards," said Kamel Gaddas, VP Business & Development, WinSoft. "They will also be able to experience exciting new avenues to bring out the best of Arabic script, explore more creative possibilities and achieve new levels of productivity."

WinSoft will also showing the latest version of its number-one selling localised database software, FileMaker, at its stand in Gitex Business Solutions.
