Saudi Arabian telecom operator, Mobily, has signed a SAR1.05 billion ($280m), five year deal to outsource its IT operations to IBM.
In a statement posted on the Saudi bourse website, Mobily said that the deal will lead to several technical advantages in "final product quality", and in managing and securing the applications and ensuring business continuity.
The agreement will also increase flexibility in expansion, adaptability and risks management, the telco said.
Mobily, which is a division of the UAE's Etisalat Group, said that the deal will be self financing.
