UAE telco Etisalat has beefed up its presence on Twitter with the launch of a dedicated customer care account.
The telco, which already has more than 80,000 followers on its main @EtisalatUAE Twitter page, is now handling customer queries and complaints from a separate account @Etisalat_CS.
"We've launched an exclusive Twitter account to assist you better. Please follow @Etisalat_Care for more. RT & spread the word!," the telco tweeted from its main Twitter account.
The new account invites followers to contact Etisalat for support and services between 9am-9pm on weekdays and between 10am - 7pm on weekends.
The new page has already pulled in more than 200 followers since its launch earlier today.
Du, Etisalat's competitor in the UAE, handles customer queries from 9am-9pm on weekdays from a single Twitter account, @dutweets, which has some 80,000 followers.
