Red Hat has released its new CloudForms cloud management platform.
CloudForms is an open hybrid cloud management platform, that has been designed to enable enterprises to create and manage Infrastructure-as-a-Service hybrid clouds.
The platform is compatible with a wide range of infrastructure and vendors, so that organisations can build hybrid clouds that include multiple cloud applications across multiple virtualisation platforms and extending to public cloud resources, with management resources to ensure end user provisioning is done securely and with proper governance.
"CloudForms enables enterprises to use infrastructure ranging from virtual to public cloud resources together in an open hybrid cloud architecture and is a game-changer for enterprises leveraging the power of the cloud," said Brian Stevens, CTO and vice president, Worldwide Engineering at Red Hat.
"We recognize that for
a complete open hybrid
cloud, enterprises need
more than just the
management layer - they also
need openness and portability across compute, data/services, programming models
and applications. Red
Hat is the only
vendor that can deliver
a portfolio of solutions to
meets these needs, and
we've further extended
this today with the
availability of a new
cloud platform with ground-breaking
features via CloudForms," he added.
