NOMINATION PROCESS

The Sound & Stage Awards are open to individuals, companies and organisations working in the Middle East. Nominations can be made via the awards website up until the closing date of Tuesday 1st April 2008.

Nominations are made by completing a short nomination form and submitting it along with the appropriate material. Each application will then be assessed and judged by a panel of judges, who will be selected from within the industry.

A shortlist of nominations will be selected and award winners announced and presented at a gala dinner Al Murooj Rotana.

NOMINATION PROCESS
The Sound & Stage Awards are open to individuals, companies and organisations working in the Middle East. Nominations can be made via the awards website up until the closing date of Tuesday 1st April 2008. Nominations can be made by end users, vendors or systems integrators and are made by completing a nomination form and submitting it with the appropriate material (see details below). Each application will then be assessed and judged by a panel of judges. A shortlist of nominations will be selected and the winners will be unveiled at a gala dinner on Tuesday 29th April 2008.

General criteria and conditions

  • All nominations must be submitted by email to aaron.greenwood@itp.com. Only electronic submissions will be accepted.
  • Nominations must be submitted on the official nomination form, in either Word .doc or Rich Text Format (.rtf). No other submission formats will be accepted. Supporting documents can be in any common electronic format
  • Nominations must be in English
  • Nominations must be clearly and succinctly written, and remain within the submission guidelines described below
  • Nominations should deal in grounded and supported statements with supporting facts and figures
  • Nominations should be for recent projects, releases or achievements – anything put forward older than 12 months is unlikely to be successful
  • Nominations should relate to work completed within the Middle East region. For the purposes of these awards, this includes: Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, UAE, Yemen
  • The organisers will not be responsible for nominations, which may be damaged, lost or mislaid in the post or otherwise
  • S&S shall have the right to verify the information provided in each submission if required. Nominations must include contact details for nominator and nominee to facilitate this. Nominations without this information will be discounted.
  • Nominations will be accepted in good faith and, notwithstanding any attempts to verify claims made in nominations, will be treated as true and accurate
  • Submission of an application form indicates acceptance of the conditions of entry
  • In the event of any disputes or issues the decision made by the group editor of the B&C Group shall be deemed final. The organisers will not be obliged to justify their decisions or enter into any correspondence
  • Nominations will be circulated to the judging panel. It may also be used in S&S – in print, online or both – as the basis of a case study, as a standalone article, or part of an awards feature.
  • Representatives from the end users, vendor and/or systems integrator must be available on the night of the awards.
