The winning project will be of a sufficiently high profile to be a noteworthy addition to the achievements of the region’s construction industry.

Sustainable GCC Project of the Year

A flagship project in the UAE, completed or nearing completion within the last calendar year, where the full scope of MEP design and engineering services has made a tangible contribution to the project being 'green' in the sense of recognised international accreditation such as LEED, BREEAM, Energy Star etc. The winning project will demonstrate tangible achievements in energy-saving, water-conservation and recycling.

A company that continued to build on its solid order book/project list in the preceding calendar year, adding to its track record and reputation and continuing to develop and expand its own resource base. Middle East Health & Safety Achievement Award

This award recognises singular achievement in the critical field of health and safety. It is awarded to a company that excels in maintaining or improving upon health and safety standards on its project sites, or which has introduced any specific training or awareness initiative.

Supplier of the Year

This award recognises any supplier involved in the MEP supply chain, from ductwork to HVAC, plumbing and sanitaryware, security and access control, firefighting and alarm systems, for example. The criteria will be overall involvement in the sector, recognition from major MEP contractors, and any special achievements in terms of logistics, timeframe or special requirements.

Innovation of the Year

This award recognises any special product development (local manufacture or imported) on the part of any local supplier or manufacturer that has promoted cost-effectiveness, value addition and sustainability in the MEP sector. It can range from plumbing and sanitaryware to HVAC and ducting and electrical and cabling accessories. The criteria will be demonstrable benefits and application to current projects, and contribution to energy efficiency and sustainability.
