Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, the 2008 MEP Middle East Awards will be held in Dubai during December this year. The awards herald those organisations that design and install mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems, as well as those ensuring that staff are well trained and high health and safety standards are met. This is your opportunity to highlight your abilities to your peers and the construction industry at large.

The awards will be presented at a gala dinner that will be attended by the great and good of the MEP sector. The ceremony aims to recognise and reward those that are making the sector a valued entity in the construction industry and delivering above and beyond the call of duty.

Although the Middle East’s current construction boom is well documented, the mammoth MEP market this is creating is less well recognised. Each structure built requires fundamentals from each of these three disciplines and what’s more, while mega projects covering both commercial and residential developments are underway and many construction tenders allocated, much of the region’s new MEP work is still up for grabs.

This is creating a highly competitive regional market, in which MEP practitioners are digging deep to deliver their best work, whether that be in terms of innovative projects or effective execution.
