Dicota targets Iran resellers

Computer accessories vendor Dicota has signed a distribution agreement with AlShaya Solutions in Iran.

The pair will work together to push the vendor's portfolio of notebook bags, cases and USB products to local resellers, with Middle East boss Jamal Maraqa claiming its "short product cycles" and "very high quality levels" will prove a hit with the channel.

AlShaya Solutions, which was founded seven years ago, has a history of focusing on networking and VoIP products. It also carries accessories from vendors such as memory specialist Swissbit and power supply outfit MGE.

"As our main philosophy is to develop a lasting relationship with channel partners, with an emphasis on customer share rather than on market share, we are delighted to have an alliance with Dicota which will help us enlarge our product portfolio according to customer needs," claimed Babak Loghmani, CEO at AlShaya.

Germany-based vendor Dicota boasts more than 80 distribution partners worldwide, including Dubai-based Pro Technology in the Middle East.
