Netgear’s RangeMax Next Wireless-N routers have been given Intel’s ‘Connect with Centrino’ certification.

The RangeMax line is the first wireless networking products to ship with the ‘Connect with Centrino’ seal of approval.

The certification guarantees that the routers are compatible and interoperable with Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N solutions.

Targeted at consumers, the router enables people to connect to multiple internet services from anywhere in the house. Netgear said the wireless-n routers had been rigorously tested by Intel to ensure compatibility.

Ahmad Zeidan, channel sales manager for Netgear Middle East, said the firm was proud to achieve the certification.

“During the certification process, the RangeMax Next Wireless-N routers were not only tested for compatibility with Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N, but were evaluated for performance, extended range, co-existence with other 802.11g clients and access points, and the ability to eliminate WiFi dead spots,” he said.
