Abu Dhabi Educational Zone (ADEZ) has implemented a multimedia system in its 22 government schools.

The SmartClass Multimedia System from Edutech will help both pupils and teachers in the emirate to familiarise themselves with interactive learning techniques, the company claimed.

“The goal of our programme is to build a generation of IT literate children, enhancing their educational experience with creative learning tools and equipping them with the skills they need to succeed in future careers,” said Mohamed Said Al Maskari, deputy manager for administrative and financial affairs at ADEZ.

The zone is the latest in a string of UAE education providers to deploy Edutech’s SmartClass system. The solution is also in use by the Technical Studies Institute in Abu Dhabi and the University of Sharjah.

Edutech solutions, which enable students to interact with other students whilst working on internet-based projects, are also in use by schools in Oman.
