Peripherals giant Logitech has reaffirmed its ambitions to scale the Middle East accessories market.

The company recently bolstered its presence in the region by releasing a range of new wireless technology products, including a remote music device and its Interactive 2.0 Speaker System - the latest member of its ‘Advanced Peripherals' line.

According to the Switzerland-headquartered vendor, the Middle East and Africa digital music market is now worth a whopping US$58 billion.

"The wireless music system range and other products that we have introduced to the Middle East market will help boost our market share in this region and consolidate our market leadership in the high-end digital music segment," declared Robert Van De Vegte, director Benelux, Turkey and Middle East at Logitech.

He added: "We plan to leverage the UAE's position as a technology hub and international centre for innovation and business excellence by implementing an aggressive marketing strategy to further boost Logitech sales across the entire region."

Logitech recently delivered its best ever quarterly performance as worldwide net profit shot to US$94m on sales of US$659m.
