The networking firm said it developed the 3Com Open Network to provide solution providers with resources and support programmes to facilitate the development and interoperability of their products and solutions with 3Com technologies.

"As business requirements evolve and technology advances open new market opportunities, organisations need the ability to choose applications that can be fully integrated into a secure, converged network to enhance performance, visibility and control," said Anna Dorcey, vice president for technology partner programmes at 3Com. "Through a collaborative, open approach, the 3Com programme actively engages leading technology providers that offer products and services that complement the 3Com product portfolio."

Members of the programme can use labs to conduct product testing and have access to development tools.
