Flash storage vendor SanDisk has opened a headquarters in Dubai to build on recent strong growth in the region.

The office will serve the whole of the Middle East and Africa (MEA), as well as Greece and Turkey.

SanDisk said establishing a direct presence in the region would kick off a big campaign to market a host of products the vendor recently launched around the world.

“These products will be shipped to the region in the second quarter and we expect them to receive a strong market demand,” said Tareq Husseini, MEA sales manager for SanDisk.

Edward Moro, EMEA managing director for SanDisk, claimed SanDisk products had witnessed significant growth.

“Together with the distributors in the region, we are now in a situation where we have tripled our store fronts in the Middle East,” said Moro.
