Mercer Management Consulting, a strategy and operations consultancy has expanded its Middle East presence with the formation of a legal entity and permanent regional office located in Dubai, UAE.

Mercer Consulting has been advising Middle East clients across the telecommunications, energy, aviation, and transportation sectors for a number of years and recently had been consolidating its regional presence. According to regional director Mark Kadar, Mercer’s acquisition of the Middle Eastern, Continental European, and South American operations of DiamondCluster International in August 2006 has enabled the firm to establish a larger, permanent regional foothold.

“Looking at our deeply entrenched relationships with leading businesses in the region, we had already decided to invest in a sustainable base. Mercer’s acquisition of DiamondCluster’s operations helped us build on an existing strong base and quickly ramp up our presence in the region,” said Kadar.

Mercer’s work spans across a broad range of activities that impact the strategic positioning of businesses in order to improve revenues and profitability. Milan Sallaba, a director and head of Mercer’s Dubai office, said the merger brought valuable intellectual capital to Mercer’s regional expertise.

“DiamondCluster’s reputation and acknowledged expertise in the telecoms sector has helped add weight to Mercer’s existing competencies across energy, aviation, and transportation. The combined entity allows us to offer unrivalled intellectual capital from across the world to our clients in the Middle East.”
