Park Air Systems (PAS) and its local integrator Data Processing Systems (DPS) have been contracted to install part of the Norwegian firm’s Safety NETS sub-system software package (SNET) to monitor airborne movements in neighbouring airspace to detect possible conflict situations.

The short term conflict alert (STCA) and minimum safe altitude warning (MSAW) systems will help prevent aircraft from flying too closely to each other, aid pilots when flying in dust, fog or heavy cloud and alert pilots of militarised or closed airspace.

The airport is also having DPS implement PAS’s Nova 9000 Recording and Playback System (RPS). RPS provides storage and retrieval of all information at the controller working positions.
