Emirates NBD launches WhatsApp banking services WhatsApp chat banking will complement its other mobile banking services, says Qassem.

Emirates NBD has launched its new WhatsApp banking service.

The service, which was originally announced in October, will allow customers to access account information and other services via the WhatsApp Business Solution.

The Emirates NBD Chat Banking via WhatsApp service, supported by Infobip, allows customers to check account balances and credit card transactions, access credit card statements, block or unblock cards, request cheque books, and check foreign exchange rates.

All messages on Emirates NBD's verified WhatsApp Business account are encrypted, ensuring safety and security of customer information.

"We believe the new offering will complement our existing digital banking channels and offer security along with the simplicity and convenience of instant responses, 24/7," said Abdulla Qassem, Group Chief Operating Officer, Emirates NBD. "As Emirates NBD forges ahead with its digitisation agenda, we look forward to progressively expanding our range of WhatsApp based services to deliver a unified, digital experience for our customers."
