Area 2071 hosts 80 workshops since May launch Area 2071 includes collaborative workspaces.

Area 2071, the shared workspace of the Dubai Future Foundation and the UAE Centennial Plan, has hosted more than 80 workshops and 2,800 visitors since its launch in May this year.

The workspace was established at the Emirates Towers in Dubai, to facilitate cooperation between private companies, governments, startups, investors and young entrepreneurs, to work together to shape the future.

Among the entities visiting Area 2071 have been government, international organisations, private companies and entrepreneurs, to attend workshops, panel discussions, meetings, field visits and the launch of new products, strategies and innovations.

Abdulaziz Al Jaziri, Deputy CEO of Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), stressed that Area 2071 is an ecosystem that brings different players from around the world; those who share the same passion and vigour for the future, as well as seen as a collaborative space that encourages individuals to solve for significant human challenges at scale.

Al Jaziri added that Area 2071 serves as a gateway and a platform to design the future, through encouraging creativity, fostering talents as well as attracting local and global partnerships. It further contributes to the advancement of vital strategic sectors.

Area 2071 hosted The Area hosted international companies, such as Ernst & Young (EY), Microsoft, IBM, Emirates Airline, Techstars global accelerators, in addition to local entities, such as Dubai Blockchain Center, Dubai Chamber, Emirates Foundation, MiSK Foundation, Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), among others.

Area 2071 will host several innovative ‘design the future' laboratories for leading companies such as Pfizer, Procter & Gamble, Ernst & Young, Emirates Airline, IBM, DP World, GEMS Education, and Al Ahli Holding Group.

Area 2071 also includes Government Accelerators, which was launched in 2016, as a new government mechanism to intensify efforts, speed up work, and deliver and address the challenges facing government sectors. In addition, it includes Dubai Future Foundation's Dubai Future Accelerator program, the Youth Hub, and as well as the ‘Services 1', which is a model for the future of government services in the UAE.
