Under the theme of Tomorrow is here, Microsoft has unveiled a host of intelligent Cloud, data centre, and artificial technologies, at the 38th GITEX Technology Week.

Visitors to the company’s stand will be able to advantage of a novel augmented reality experience that gives the user a virtual tour of a typical data centre.

Over in the Artificial Intelligence Zone, Microsoft is hosting several demos throughout the day centred on face recognition, chatbots, emotion detection, and object detection, all of which are powered by the Microsoft Azure platform. The enterprise technology provider will also highlight industry-specific solutions, ideally suited for the healthcare, government and finance segments.

In addition to showcasing its solutions, Microsoft is hosting its Partners Zone at its stand, which comprises of 28 of its regional partners and ISVs.

“This definitely a very important GITEX for us because it sits between our announcements of data centres and most probably global availability. It will be happening 2019. It is a golden opportunity for us to meet our customers and partners around this UAE data centres. We planning to have one in Dubai and the other in Abu Dhabi. From Microsoft's perspective, this is a big investment into the country,” comments Necip Ozyucel, Cloud + Enterprise Business Group Lead, Microsoft.
