Public agencies dominate customer winning categories at 14th edition of the awards

Network Middle East rewards industry excellence at 2018 Innovation Awards Seventeen categories were awarded in various network and cyber security fields.

Network Middle East has announced winners for its 14th annual NME Innovation Awards.

At a luncheon event in Dubai yesterday, seventeen categories were added in various network and cyber security fields.

Government agencies had a particularly strong showing in this year’s Awards picking up the bulk of the end user awards.

Among the key highlights was the Bahrain Ministry of Foreign Affairs which took home the Unified Communications Implementation of the Year accolade for its UC project with Batelco and Avaya. Her Excellency Sheikha Rana Isa Daij Al-Khalifa, Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, was at hand to receive the Award.

The RTA in Dubai collected two awards on the day, while perennial contender General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) took home the Wireless Implementation of the Year award.

The individual honours went to Dr Mohammad Khaled from the Regulations Supervision Bureau (RSB) in Abu Dhabi for Networking Professional of The Year (End User), while Ahmed Auda, managing director for Mena, Vmware won in the Network Professional of the Year (Vendor) category.
