Cyber security vendor Proofpoint, has signed Exclusive Networks, as its regional value added distributor (VAD) to reinforce its advanced protection solutions offering.

In terms of the agreement, Exclusive Networks will supply the regional channel with Proofpoint security solutions and help companies to protect data and their IT assets from advanced and unknown threats. In addition, the distributor will help the vendor to enhance its channel and go-to-market strategy to provide innovative cybersecurity solutions for an ever-increasing addressable market.

Oliver Downs, alliances manager, Exclusive Networks Middle East, said: "Exclusive Networks is excited to continue the success that we have witnessed across our European operations. Our channel partners can now benefit from Proofpoint's extensive portfolio offering the market secure email gateway, email fraud defense, digital risk management, saas protection and advanced threat protection solutions."

Downd added that: "We now have the opportunity to educate the market on the evolving landscape of advanced threats and cloud adoption. Furthermore, the region is witnessing an enormous adoption of Microsoft Office 365, where the need to safeguard users against advanced threats, empower insight and keep users connected during the events of downtime is crucial."

He said Proofpoint is key to ensure that this migration and new service layer is protected.

"As we continue to see increasing demand from Middle East businesses for innovative, effective cybersecurity solutions, expanding our established partnership with Exclusive Networks across the MEA region is imperative," said Nik Churchley, director, EMEA Channels, Proofpoint.

Churchley said email continues to be the number one threat vector used by cyber criminals and this relationship will allow Exclusive Networks to offer advanced email protection. "In addition, the alliance will provide EMEA organisations with best-in-class multi-layered defence against email fraud, ransomware, advanced malware, bulk mail and email downtime," he said.

Proofpoint and Exclusive Networks are re-enforcing the existing relationship, with the latter paving the way to capitalise on growth opportunities presented by an expanded cyber security product portfolio.
