Virgin Mobile KSA subscribers will be able to pay for downloads from Google Play directly through their phone bill, the operator has announced.

Virgin has signed a direct carrier billing service agreement with Google, which will make it easier for users to purchase mobile apps, games, books and movies from the Google Play Store by billing purchases to their mobile accounts; postpaid or prepaid.

Virgin Mobile direct carrier billing will be available starting April, 2018. Customers will be able to make online purchases on Google Play Store through their mobile accounts, without having to use their credit or debit cards.

Commenting on the launch of this innovative payment method, Fouad Halawi, the CEO of Virgin Mobile said: "We are delighted to partner with Google to provide our customers an extremely convenient and reliable payment method. I am certain that this service will be widely welcomed and accepted by our youth audience in particular. We will continue to bring more initiatives that are focused on enhancing customer experiences."
