Amir Kanaan becomes MD of Kasperky META region Amir Kanaan is promoted to managing director of Kaspersky Lab for META region.

Kaspersky Lab has promoted Amir Kanaan to managing director for the META region (Middle East, Turkey and Africa).

Kanaan takes over the MD role, having previously been general manager for the Middle East. He replaces Maxim Frolov, who has been promoted to vice president of Global Sales at Kaspersky Lab.

In his new role, which is effective as of the 1st of March 2018, Kanaan will continue to strategically promote the company's vision of spreading cybersecurity awareness on a national level across the Middle East. Turkey and Africa. He will look to strengthen the company's leadership in the region, by promoting Kaspersky Lab's award winning business and consumer products as well as the company's threat intelligence services.

Kanaan said: "Being part of a region that is known to be one of the earliest adopters of new technology is exciting because this fast paced transition makes the focus on cybersecurity essential. I'm proud to be part of Kaspersky Lab and I'm excited to work on improving the level of cybersecurity in the META region.
