A number of Apple iPhone X owners are reportedly unable to answer incoming calls, according to a report by the Financial Times.

The report highlights that's users have complained about not being able to answer their calls because there is a lag in the display waking up, resulting in users being unable to see the Accept or Decline options. The problem is not new as since December last year many users took to Apple's support forums to express their frustrations.

One user said: "Whenever I receive an incoming call in my iPhone X, ringtones start but the display comes in after 6-8 seconds."

Another user restored their iPhone X to factory settings which fixed the problem but it later reappeared. One other user was given a replacement device by Apple but the same issue occurred on the replacement iPhone X.

It is unclear on whether this is a hardware or software issue, however the Financial Times contacted Apple who said that they were investigating the issue. Nevertheless, no solution has been found to fix the problem.
