Last month ITP.net reported that an augmented reality themed Harry Potter game was in the works, now Warner Bros' has given its seal of approval on another mobile game.

Dubbed Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, users will be able to create their own characters and experience life as a Hogwarts student. Users can journey through the school life, participating in magical classes as seen in the Harry Potter movies.

Warner Bros described the game as: "Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is the first game in which players can create their own character and experience life as a Hogwarts student."

The mobile game, which will be available on iOS and Android, is being developed by Jam City, the creators of Marvel Avengers Academy and Family Guy: Another Freakin' Mobile Game.

Despite there not being an official confirmation, the creators behind Pokémon Go are rumoured to be developing an AR-enabled Harry Potter game, called Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.
