If you type 1+2+3 quickly in Apple's in-built Calculator app, chances are you'll get the answer 24.

Reports have emerged that a bug is affecting the calculator in all iOS 11-powered devices, to which when quick inputs are made the wrong answer is given.

When the sum 1+2+3 is tapped in at a slow, perhaps normal pace, the answer given is 6. However if you add in the numbers quickly, the incorrect answer of 24 is given. It is believed that the error is down to a lag in the calculator animation when two or more numbers together, the actual number selected cannot be registered.

The problem is not only present for this simple sum, in fact the wrong answer is given when number are entered at a faster pace.

Apple is aware of the issue as Chris Espinoza tweeted there had more been more than 70 complaints. Apple is mostly likely working on the problem, but in the meantime you'll have to enter the numbers slowly.
