Winners of the ACN Arab Technology Awards 2017 revealed The 13th edition of the annual Arabian Computer news Arab Technology Awards.

The 13th edition of the annual Arabian Computer news Arab Technology Awards saw the attendance of over 300 of the industry's elite and leading IT personas, who came together under one roof to recognise and celebrate the achievements of their peers in this ever evolving industry.

Hosted once again at the Conrad Dubai, the 13th edition of the annual Arabian Computer news Arab Technology Awards saw over 300 of the industry's leading IT personalities in attendance. Gathered together to pay homage and celebrate the achievements of their peers within the industry, guests enjoyed a lavish gala dinner, which was then followed by the award ceremony.

The 2017 ACN Arab Technology Awards was brought to you in close collaboration with Presenting Sponsors, du, Platinum sponsors, Dell EMC and Avaya, and Gold Sponsor, Toshiba.

Serving as the event's Silver sponsors were CentraHub and Focus Softnet, along with Category sponsor, Ehrhardt + Partner Solutions, and Logo Sponsor, Gulf Business Machines.

Also in attendance was the award's judging panel that deliberated over the numerous nomination submissions, which exuded high standards of excellence and pushed the boundaries of enterprise technology.

This year's judging panel comprised of Megha Kumar, research director for Software & Cloud at IDC Middle East, Turkey and Africa; Paul Allen, partner and head of Intellectual Property & Technology, DLA Piper; Sanjay Khanna, CIO, RAKBANK; and Haritha Ramachandran, associate director of Digital Transformation MENASA, Frost & Sullivan.

Standout winners from this year's ACN Technology Awards included Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) winning the award for Energy & Industry Implementation of the Year; Al Safeer Group winning the title of Retail & Trading Implementation of the Year; and Abdalla Ahmed Al Ali, IT director, Dubai Multi Commodity Center (DMCC), being crowned CIO of the Year.

A number of big wins were also recorded from the public sector, which included the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ nabbing the accolade for IT Department of the Year, Dubai Customs winning Public Sector Implementation of the Year for The Fort Project; and the UAE Ministry of Finance winning the Driving Digital Transformation Award.
