UAE telecom du and BlackBerry are joining forces to bring safe city concepts to the region.

Under the new partnership, du will provide a variety of BlackBerry enterprise software solutions and services to its customers.In particular BlackBerry AtHoc, a networked crisis communications platform, built to assist cities, organisations and people to respond quickly and efficiently during a crisis.

Richard McLeod, global VP, Enterprise Software Channels, BlackBerry, says: "We share their vision of making both cities and the world a safer place for people and organisations and by integrating AtHoc, du will make it easier than ever before for their customers to communicate and collaborate in times of crisis."

du customers will also benefit from other BlackBerry solutions, including Enterprise Mobility Management through BlackBerry UEM for iOS, Android, Windows 10 and MacOS, helping grow businesses securely.  BlackBerry Workspaces, a secure file sharing solution allows users to take control of their files on every device.
